The Outhouse Studios is a professional recording studio located in Reading, Berkshire. The studio is headed up by John Mitchell (the Gordon Ramsay of the music recording world - be afraid...), who has 18 years' experience recording, producing and mixing a wide range of music, as well as writing, singing and playing guitar in a number of successful bands including It Bites, KINO, FROST* and Arena. The studio team also includes Ben Humphreys and James Billinge, Outhouse Studios' assistant engineers, again both strong musicians in their own right as well as exceptionally proficient in recording and producing music.

The team at Outhouse Studios specialises in recording and producing emo, rock, Kerrang! heroes,indie, punk, prog, well anything musical really... Bands that have recorded here include Enter Shikari, You Me At Six, The Blackout, Architects, My Passion, Funeral For A Friend, Exit Ten, Your Demise, Lower Than Atlantis, Justin Hawkins and a whole load more.

We also provide separate mixing services for a number of high profile bands which have included Kids In Glass Houses, The Blackout, Alter Bridge, and Ivy Rise.

The studio has an ongoing relationship with Roadrunner, Virgin Records, Epitaph Records, Raw Power Music Management, Visible Noise, Plastic Head Distribution, and Atlantic Records, producing and demoing their latest signings.
