The Outhouse Studios is a professional recording studio located in Reading, Berkshire. The studio is headed up by John Mitchell (the Gordon Ramsay of the music recording world - be afraid...), who has over 13 years' experience recording, producing and mixing a wide range of music, as well as writing, singing and playing guitar in his own successful bands. Studio support is provided by Ben Humphreys, Outhouse Studios' assistant engineer.

The team at Outhouse Studios specialises in recording and producing emo, rock, indie, punk, prog, well anything musical really... Bands that have recorded here recently include the mighty Funeral For A Friend, hot new kids on the block Enter Shikari, Fastlane, Architects, District (formerly Hiding With Girls), Days In December, The Hurt Process, The Blueprint, eddyfink... and a whole load more. The studio has an ongoing relationship with Golf Records (Plastic Head Distribution) and Atlantic Records, producing and demoing their latest signings.

The recently upgraded studio is located within a 19th century 'outhouse', which has been fully converted to provide a spacious control room and a soundproofed vocal booth, as well as a floating soundproofed drum booth which is also used for cab miking. There is an upstairs rest area, ample parking and various other facilities expected of a professional studio.
